Take a big deep breath…. you have already accomplished one of the most challenging steps which is researching and finding the best therapist for your relationship needs. This takes an immense amount of strength to reach for outside help, and this vulnerability will not go unrecognized.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 10 years, I have experience and expertise working with clients to help create safety and security within a family system, whatever that may look like. This maybe you as a couple, you as an individual, or multiple family members seeking guidance and support during difficult times. As a mother and a wife, I understand how challenging life can get when working to establish the sense of love for all parties within the family. Often this is a balancing act, with multiple spinning plates, and with only so many arms to keep this act functional. It is when these plates begin to fall, coupled with the feeling of detachment from your partner that the closeness and love you need to trust and depend on your partner feels non-existent. As your therapist, I aim to guide each one of you through relational experiences that will provide you the opportunity and empowerment to shape your relationships for what you need. These experiences will challenge the hurtful dances you and your partner engage in and begin to bring you emotionally and physically closer to once again trust that the other person is there for you when you need them.

If you or your loved one has experienced any form of trauma, which can present itself in many different forms, then I will work to help your family understand how the trauma can create relationship ruptures and how these have impacted your relationships. Whatever happens to one family member, directly and indirectly impacts the rest of the family. As a trained certified Family Systems Trauma (FST) therapist, as well as trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), you will be guided to establish comfort, connection. The goal will be to help you gain the understanding on how to meet the needs of not only yourself, but also your partner, and/ or other family members when faced with challenging experiences, both within, and outside the family unit that have caused distressing symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
